I found this when going through old family photos. It would be great if someone can help me identify this car, most importantly the model-year if possible. Thanks!
UPDATE: Thank you for the replies! It's definitely a 1980s Ford Fairmont or Mercury Zephyr. I really wish there's some possible way to determine the exact year :(

It looks like a 80s Ford LTD.

Looks like a 1982 or so Ford Fairmont.

1981-1983 Mercury Zephyr....hard to be more specific I’m afraid :( - I’m guessing 1981 from the picture fade!
Everybody else suggests the LTD - they did look very similar, but this is definitely not an LTD. Pretty sure it’s a Mercury Zephyr rather than a Ford Fairmont as you can’t see a horizontal line in the grill running through the middle on the edge of that pic the Mercury’s grill was more “flat” like the one in your pic.
Would be easier to tell for sure if the tree wasn’t there so we could see if the Mercury-only’s fake side vents are there...

Could that be a Mercury Zephyr, twin to the Ford Granada?

Yes! That looks like it! Thank you!

I’m with ya on this one, those appear to be Mercury rims

Yup! Like I just edited in - hard to know for sure as the tree is blocking where the Mercury-only’s fake side vents would be so we could tell for certain! :(

You’re welcome, sadly, I have to stretch the dates....some Googling shows that Fairmonts before 1981 had single headlights on either side, but the Zephyr ALWAYS had quad lights...that means we have to estimate this one is a 1978-1983 Zephyr... :(
I’m leaning more towards late 70’s due to the clothing styles...

Thank you for your help. I'm going to do some more research and hopefully find some more photos.

You’re welcome....I have a history degree and worked 5 years at a local museum over the summer. One of my favorite things while working on exhibit displays was “photo archaeology” - figuring out where and when things were based on what I could see......pretty fun! :)
Good luck mate! :D
